Activity 4: In house Marketing Campaign of Bone Marrow Transplant

On an estimate, thousands of people visit Shifa International Hospital Islamabad daily and marketing team understands that In House marketing can be utilized as an effective promotional tool to communicate information about latest advancements and available facilities to a large number of masses. Utilizing this channel the message of the milestone accomplishment of 100 Bone Marrow Transplant is displayed at the various location in the form of Standees (4), Table Tops (12), Wall hangings (10) and 20*10 ft Bill Board (1).

Activity 3: 100 Bone Marrow Transplant Direct Mail Campaign

To outreach and inform the physician community & other stakeholders about the remarkable achievement of performing more than 100 Bone Marrow Transplant at Shifa International Hospital Islamabad.The marketing team took the initiative of distributing Bone Marrow Transplant Flyer + Refferal Letter via Direct Mail Campaign. More than 120 Oncologist, Medical Specialist and Senior Management Executives were sent a package which included a Letter to inform about milestone 100+ Bone Marrow Transplant, Flyer which included services offered at BMT center and a referral form.

Activity 2: Dr. Ayaz Mir outreaches to the General Public on a Live ATV Show

Electronic media plays an important role in reaching out to the masses and community for advocacy on health & education. Dr. Ayaz Mir (Consultant Bone Marrow Transplant) appeared as a guest on ATV’s Live Health Show (Health Clinic) on Thursday (10th Aug, from 5 pm to 5:30 pm). The program featured a discussion on bone marrow & blood diseases to create awareness among viewers. Callers also participated in the program by live telephone calls from different cities.

Activity 1: Promotional campaign of Shifa’s Bone Marrow Transplant Services

Shifa’s Bone Marrow Transplant team has performed more than 100 Bore Marrow/ Stem Cell Transplants since the inception of the program. To communicate this message to different audience groups, a thorough campaign has been designed with following components;

a) Separate Webpage for Bone marrow Transplant Services (shifa.com.pk/bonemarrow)

A separate web page is developed (version # 1) to optimize the search results for Google & to provide comprehensive information to the patients and families in a convenient way.

b) Printing & Publication Material for the Patients

C) Outreaching to the External Hospitals & Physicians

In order to outreach to the External Hospitals & Physicians to communicate the Bone Marrow Transplant service portfolio for referral purposes, Marketing Dept has updated its database of Health-care Service Providers & Practitioners in the region. The data of registered members of Rwp/ Isb has also been taken from PMDC.

  • Introductory letters & publication material have been delivered to medical administration of 22 hospitals in KPK & Nothern Punjab
  • 3,000 GPs (Isb/ Rwp & Peripheries) were sent with a service intro SMS as well.

Activity 1: Marketing Dept launches “Hope is Life” Campaign, (Patient Testimonial Project)

For patient & family decision making, trust & endorsement factor plays a very important role. In order to build the same trust level,  Marketing Dept. took- p a project of patient’s testimonial in which we have collected the testimonials from different cancer patients and used them across different communication mediums to better position Shifa’s Oncology Services.
